SHOVEL RAM SEAL KIT

Description

A JCB 3DX Shovel Ram Seal Kit (also known as the loader bucket/shovel cylinder seal kit) is a set of hydraulic sealing components designed to prevent fluid leakage and maintain hydraulic pressure inside the shovel/loader ram cylinders of a JCB 3DX backhoe loader.

Key Components included in the Kit

A complete seal kit typically contains:

Rod Seal (U-Cup / Lip Seal): Prevents hydraulic fluid from leaking out around the cylinder rod during operation.

Dust / Wiper Seal: Fits on the outer edge to wipe away dirt, dust, and mud from the cylinder rod as it retracts, protecting the interior components.

Piston Seal: Installed around the piston head to prevent fluid from bypassing between the extend and retract chambers inside the ram cylinder.

Wear Rings / Guide Bands: Prevents metal-to-metal contact between the piston/rod and the cylinder barrel wall.

O-Rings & Back-up Rings: Provides static sealing on the gland head and prevents O-rings from extruding under high pressure.
